Safety Squad 2023-24

Thursday 27th March 2024

The Safety Squad presented an assembly all about well-being and delivered our new worry boxes (donated by FOLBA) to every KS2 classroom. Well done team!

Wednesday 13th March 2024

Today our Safety Squaddies took part in Junior Roadwatch, which is a police led session giving primary school children the opportunity to take part in speed awareness engagement in their local community, near their school.

The children worked with Police Officers to educate speeding motorists on the importance of road danger reduction.

Friday 1st March 2024

Today the Safety Squad learnt about our commitment to attaining the ‘Wellbeing award for schools’. The children are prepared and looking forward to becoming ‘Wellbeing Champions’ as part of their role.

We are extremely grateful to FOLBA, who have funded the purchase of ‘worry boxes’ for each KS2 class. The squaddies will host an assembly to relaunch these into our classrooms. Also, they have some other exciting news to share, including the introduction of playground wellbeing boxes (thanks again to FOLBA J) which the children will manage during break times.

Friday 20th October 2023

Today the Safety Squaddies took over the Computing Suite and discussed all things regarding Internet Safety. We designed logos and informational posters highlighting the importance of staying safe online. KS1 created personalised lanyards so that all their friends know the important role they have at Lady Bankes!

Special mention to Enes in Year 5 who has been working hard at home to find new ways to promote safety in our school, which he presented with confidence to his team members. #SafetySquad

We hope your looking forward to hear about the Safety squad's work in 23-24. Watch this space for more information........
