Lady Bankes Primary School's Early Years Foundation Stage ensures that the children have the best possible start to their education. Our nursery has a beautifully furnished indoor classroom where the children have great fun learning every day. Our Nursery has its own outdoor classroom where the children spend time as well every day. The highly experienced, dedicated Nursery team ensure that the children make great progress with them, whilst having the best time! We always have a waiting list for our nursery and so if you are considering it please contact the school office as soon as you can! 

Children from our Nursery join with children from other nurseries, childminders or who are starting school for the first time, when they join our extremely popular Reception year group. We have three classes of up to 30 children. Reception has the most fantastic outdoor classroom which is just for them. They have great fun exploring the different areas of learning in our outdoor area come rain or shine! Our brilliant Reception team ensure that the children make excellent progress- we always can't believe how much progress children make in this first formal year of their education. Outcomes for our children at the end of Reception are considerably above the national average as a result of the excellent teaching and learning taking place.
