• Harvest Festival

  Thank you to everyone who donated food for our Harvest food collection.  This year our donations were again taken to the Hillingdon Food Bank by Lawrence Rand Estate Agents, where they were greatly appreciated.  They were collected in a van and some of our Year 6 House Captains pupils helped to load it up. • Quad Kid Winners 2022

  Huge congratulations to the athletics squad who competed at the Hillingdon Borough Quadkids Athletics Competition this week.  170 children in Hillingdon took part in 17 teams and our A team finished with the gold medals and the B team with the bronze!  Each athlete competed in the long jump, 75m, 600m and vortex howler throw with points being added up for a total team score.  The athletics squad have been practising all year and we are so proud of them!  

  

• Young Voices Wembley 2022

  On Tuesday 26th April after a year of rehearsing and learning songs, our school choir finally got to take part in this fantastic event.  We travelled by train to Wembley and first of all went for lunch at the Global Buffet where the children took full advantage of the array of different cuisines.  Next stop was Wembley Arena where we joined lots of other school choirs and in total over five thousand children came together to sing a medley of songs.  We enjoyed the Urban Strides dance troop, the flashing lights and very talented band and singers.  By the end of the night we were all extremely tired and ready for bed.  

  

• Lady Bankes Art Gallery

  Our art gallery during parents evening was a huge success, each year group produced work with a different theme and children were then able to purchase their framed work.  Thank you to Miss Baines for organising this fun fundraising event.

  

• Remembrance Day 2021

  Today at 11.00am the whole school joined in with 2 minutes silence to mark the anniversary of the end of the first world war.

  

• New Arrivals at Lady Bankes Primary School

  Here at Lady Bankes Primary school we have received two deliveries of eggs this week from the Happy Chick Company.  One batch in Reception and the other in Year 5.  Over the next few days we are enjoying watching them all hatch out of their shells and learning all about them while they grow.  They will stay in school until next Thursday so everyone will get a chance to see them.  Here are some pictures of a few of our new arrivals

  

• Grand opening of Lady Bankes Primary School

  We had a wonderful first day at Lady Bankes Primary School. The children's day started with bubbles, music and walking into school through balloon arches. We had a visit from representatives of Hillingdon Council and the Mayor and Mayoress of Hillingdon. All the children had a great day in school and took home a special pencil to remember the opening of the new school and the exciting start of LBPS. 

  

• French Day

  The whole school celebrated French Day on Thursday. Children wore red, blue and white and covered lessons on art, dance and French culture. There was a lovely atmosphere around the school and some amazing costumes! Well done to the costume and work winners from each class and thank you to

  Mrs Roy for organising the day.

  

• Art Competition Winner

  Congratulation to Divij B in 6VB who entered a local art competition covering Berkshire, Bucks and Hillingdon entitled 'My visit to the Colne Valley Park' and won 1st Prize for the age group 10-12 years.  I am sure that you will agree with us that this was very well deserved as the piece he has painted is outstanding.  We will need to look out for artwork in the future as he clearly is very talented.
