For the next couple of days our school hall has been transformed into a very impressive art gallery. All the work displayed has been carefully created by our pupils and mounted into frames for you to come and view after school today and tomorrow during parents evening. From the standard of the work it is clear that we definitely have a few budding artists in the making. The pieces of work can be purchased at a very reasonable £7, payment must be cash.
On Tuesday 25th February a group of Year 4 children took part in a Kurling Competition at Pield Heath House. The team spent several weeks practising their kurling skills and competed against 10 other schools in the borough. At the end of the competition the team were so excited to learn that they had won overall and each received a gold medal and a trophy. They will now go on to compete at the London Youth Games in March.
On Friday 7th February we took our school choir along to Wembley Arena to sing with the Young Voices. We have been busy practising lots of different songs including a pop medley, a spooky medley and even a Queen medley. We sang along with some famous singers including Tony Hadley and The Shires and danced with the amazing Urban Strides. Before the event we had lunch at a restaurant which the children thoroughly enjoyed. A fantastic day was had by all.
